Magnus White, a rising off-road biking star, died of a car crash in his hometown on July 29 while practicing for the Junior Men’s Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Championship in Glasgow, Scotland.

Magnus started biking at age 2 on a strider bike and he began competing at the age of 8. He grew up in Boulder and trained at Boulder Junior Cycling. “Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of our beloved son, Magnus White,” his parents Michael and Jill White said in a statement Monday. His teammates are also sad about the incident.

White won the USA Cyclocross Junior Men’s National Championship two years ago.
White was also an avid skier and a committed student who aspired to attend business school, as his website reports. He planned to graduate from high school a year early so he could focus on international racing in the spring of 2024. One of his friends has set up a donation program for the White family called GoFundMe to support the family. People donate money straight to the family in memory of Magnus White.

Hope you will always remember Magnus White, the successful racing champion.
