What is the official name of the club, and what is your primary mission?
Our club is ARCHIVE Magazine, and our primary mission is to allow everyone to share their voices and opinions.
How many members do you have, and what is the typical “vibe” of a meeting?
With 135 members across 27 countries, we often have a casual vibe during meetings. (Especially since we’re youth-led!)
What specific branches of science do you focus on (e.g., Biology, Robotics, Environmental Science)?
This varies based on the issue, since we publish STEM articles as well. One memorable moment was on Issue 01, where one of our members shared his astrophotography, as well as details on astronomy.
What is the most ambitious project the club has tackled this year?
Though we did service activities such as sharing our stories with pediatric patients or handing them out as learning resources, the main project was Issue 02: Youth, which had over 270 pages and 55 stories.
What has been the club’s proudest moment in the last 12 months?
Considering the club didn’t even exist 12 months ago, we’re so proud of how far we’ve come!
How does the club contribute to the local or the border community?
We often collaborate with other organizations to promote awareness, send our stories to people in need, and donate some stories as learning resources
What are the long-term goals for the club?
Our long-term goals are to leave a positive mark on the writing community, help marginalized groups, and maybe even have a physical copy of our magazine at a bookstore!
