“National Renewable Energy Day takes place on March 21 every year. This observance highlights the dangers of over-exploiting fossil fuels and also acts as an awareness campaign for the benefits of using renewable energy sources. It is a time for everyone to reflect on their impact on the world around us and make efforts to preserve the ecosystem.” Quote from : https://nationaltoday.com/national-renewable-energy-day

Sources of Renewable Energy:
- Batteries
- Solar (energy from the sun)
- Wind
- Nuclear
There are active on going projects such as this one: Forest County Potawatomi Community – 2017 Project
The Forest County Potawatomi Community is putting up a ton of solar panels to power their tribal buildings. They installed almost 1 megawatt of solar power, which helps them get closer to their goal of being 100% carbon neutral. This project is a great example of how people can protect the earth and save money at the same time for the next generation.
What are People or Cities Doing?
For example, the City of Seattle is making it easy for everyone to use clean energy through “Renewable Energy Services”, where people can pay a little extra to support local wind and solar projects.

- Multifamily Electric Vehicle Charging Program
- Over 50% of our customers are renters. To increase charging access, we offer guidance and financial rebates for multifamily buildings.
- Renewable Energy Credits
- Purchase one-time or long term renewable energy credits through our Green Up program.
- Net Metering and Large Scale Solar
- Install solar and receive credits on your bill for excess power generated.
- Renewable Plus
- A 100% renewable power option for large commercial and industrial businesses.
It’s cool because it shows that when a whole city works together, we can get more renewable energy and protect the nature we love for the future.

Lets all do something about renewable energy, what’s your view and plan for this year?
