On August 30, 2026, Ecolyst.org teamed up with a few other bayarea organizations to host an event at Bobateeno in Cupertino. Along with the other members of Ecolyst, I hosted the booth, helping to both spread awareness about our environment and to host an eco-related fashion show.
A week prior to Bobateeno, a T-shirt design workshop was held in the Cupertino Library. We brought these designed T-shirts along with environmental surveys and worksheets as activities provided at our booth. Solar Car activity and recycled toys were other hits of the booth!
At the booth, filling out surveys about our environment quickly became a popular activity. I explained to the people who stopped by about what they can do to earn a prize. Hearing a variety of others’ perspectives and thoughts about our environment was both interesting and inspiring.
Many children designed and illustrated phenomenal eco-themed T-shirts, later showcased through a fashion show. In the show, I participated as a model and one of the MC’s. Our show was not only fun and engaging, but it also demonstrated environmental consciousness through fashion creativity.
Bobateeno was truly an enjoyable event where people can demonstrate their passions and share them with others. We look forward to continuing to spread environmental awareness!
