The club’s mission: learn science, improve teamwork, go to competitions, and have fun.
We have more than 20 students doing various topics and each has different areas of expertise. The meetings gave a very warm and energetic vibe, allowing everyone to participate and share.I mainly focus on Geology / Earth Science. Mr. Owens is the advisor and he’s awesome.
We just attended the regional competition at Stanford SLAC (SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory) and it was super fun and engaging despite the fact that we had to go there very early in the morning. After the competition we were able to tour SLAC and learn about The Linear Accelerator (Linac), which was longer than I could see.
